Every ‘The Outer Worlds’ Character Is Killable

Feel like going on a killing spree? Well, now you can because every The Outer Worlds character is killable.

Feel like going on a killing spree? Well, now you can because every The Outer Worlds character is killable, at least according to a recent interview with Obsidian senior designer Brian Heins. The definitely-not Fallout: New Vegas in Space game has a lot of different choice paths for RPG junkies like myself, including going full-on homicidal.

In a recent interview with the folks over at Polygon, Heins said that The Outer Worlds offers total freedom. All is fair in love and all-out murder, it seems, though it is important to keep in mind that every action has a consequence attached.

“Anyone you see, you can kill, [so] there’s got to be a way to get whatever they were going to give you, whether it’s a terminal entry or you can loot something off of their body or there’s a chest in their office that you would now lock-pick to get the information from,” he mentioned to the site, which goes along with previous statements by the team that players really can be the hero or the ultimate villain.

The Outer Worlds officially makes its debut on October 25 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, with a Nintendo Switch release set for not long after. For more about the exciting new adventure:

“In The Outer Worlds, you awake from hibernation on a colonist ship that was lost in transit to Halcyon, the furthest colony from Earth located at the edge of the galaxy, only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy it. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.”
