According to a recent report found over on Reddit, an environmental artist for Rockstar seemingly confirmed that a narrative DLC is on the way with a December 2019, January 2020 release date. The post also referenced a UFO Easter egg that was previously found in the open-world western as well.

The reddit post reads, “You’re still Arthur in this DLC. That’s I was told about that. And for Red Dead Redemption remastered is not actually a remaster, it’s a remake. All the new features from the new game are going to be imported into RDR 1 plus the map is getting expanded a bit to make it [vaster] (rdr 2 map is not apart of this because it is not needed in the story, it’s mostly just making the desert bigger.) Rob has came back and recorded new lines of dialogue to help connect the two stories (References to Arthur and events of rdr 2 naturally) it was originally slated for the 10 year anniversary of RDR 1 but bugs have hindered the development a bit so they’ve shifted 2/3 of the Red Dead Online team to the Remake (hence the lack of an update as of yet.) And it’s currently in the timeframe of being released either December 2020- January of 2021. Could be earlier but who knows at this point. As I’ve said believe me or not. But you’ll see soon enough!”

Rockstar themselves have yet to confirm this rumor, or even acknowledge it, so until the studio itself makes a note of what’s next, we’re keeping this firmly in the rumor pile until further notice. Still, Undead Nightmare was a heckin’ rad experience, so to see them take that formula and make it newer … yeah, we’ll take that!

As for the game itself, Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Still no PC …
