The team over at Bungie is not messing around when showing their fans that a new era of Destiny 2 has arrived post-Activision. With the confirmation of a shiny new expansion that takes players to the moon, they also revealed it’s about to get even easier to invite your friends in on a game because not only is cross-save on the way, but so is the space shooter going free-to-play!
When Destiny 2 was at its lowest regarding fan perception, the rumors of going F2P were rampant as a last-ditch effort towards concurrent players. Now, it’s not shrouded in negativity, and the free-to-play move is actually a phenomenal gesture to the gaming community to prove that Destiny is back into the hands of fans and out of the hands of a Big Name Publisher like Activision.
At the very last minute, according to Kotaku, Sony added their own services to the roster for cross-save, which was initially not the case. Prior to that, we’re told that Sony was resistant to the idea, though came around just in the nick of time. That means everyone can have their saves port over, regardless of platform!
