CD Projekt RED has been teasing Cyberpunk 2077 goodness for E3 over the past month, and while it looks like we’re getting another sneak peek at their latest IP, unfortunately attendees won’t be able to get their hands on the game during E3 2019.
At least year’s showcase, the studio showed off a whopping 45 minutes of gameplay, played by the devs, to a select group of press. We ourselves were able to attend to showing, which gave an intensely close look at what the game will have to offer. A few months later, CD Projekt RED released that same footage to the world, though it looks like this year will be handled similarly with a dev-guided gameplay demonstration once more.
Global Community Lead Marcin Momot took to Twitter to confirm the situation regarding Cyberpunk 2077 and its E3 presence:
To answer many questions about the demo and whether or not @CyberpunkGame will be playable at E3 — we are going to be hosting gameplay presentations (game played by us) in that cinema.

With so many rumors swirling about that Cyberpunk will be arriving sooner than expected with a 2019 release, it will be interesting to see what the devs have to share and whether or not that could include a possible release date!
Though we don’t have an official release date at this time outside of leaks, we do at least know a little more about the game and its main character:
“Cyberpunk 2077 is a narrative-driven, open world RPG set in the most vibrant and dangerous metropolis of the future — Night City. You play as V, a hired gun on the rise, who just got their first serious contract. In a world of cyberenhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners and corporate life-hackers, today is your first step to becoming an urban legend.”
