Alongside Nintendo’s indie highlights video, Chucklefish have released their own cinematic trailer for Wargroove, which you can watch below. “Wargroove is Chucklefish’s second in-house project and with the quality of its art, sound and technical achievements we’ve also seen our own progress as developers reflected in its outcome,” said the developers on the Chucklefish blog. “We’ve come to realise that for a game to succeed it can’t be anything less than a labour of love. We hope Wargroove will challenge and delight you in equal measure.”

Wargroove is a turn-based tactical game for up to four players. You play as a Commander who must recruit an army and dive into battle against other warring factions. There are more than a dozen Commanders to choose from, each with their own distinct abilities and personalities. Wargroove also features customizable maps and campaigns that can be crafted using advanced editing tools, adding plenty of options for players who want to create a custom experience.

The news comes as a pleasant surprise for fans of the upcoming turn-based strategy game, as the game has already undergone several delays. Wargroove is priced at $19.99 and is currently available for pre-purchase and pre-download on the Switch, starting today. Kick of February with Wargroove on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 1st.
