Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – Multiplayer Beta Dates and Times

Here’s when you can expect to play the Black Ops 4 Multiplayer and Blackout Betas.

Call of Duty fans have been eager to get their hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 since the game was announced back in May. It looks like fans won’t have to wait much longer, as the Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Beta is just around the corner, along with a separate beta for the new battle royale mode, Blackout. We’ve outlined the beta dates and times below for each platform so that you know when to download the Black Ops 4 Private Multiplayer Beta and when you can expect to play the Blackout Beta.

According to a recent announcement from Treyarch, there’s going to be two separate betas for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, one for Multiplayer and the other for Blackout mode. PlayStation 4 users will get access to the Private Multiplayer Beta first on August 3, with Xbox One and PC to follow on August 10. It’s also important to note that the Black Ops 4 PC Beta is exclusive to Battle.net, so be sure to have the client downloaded ahead of time before the PC Open Beta on August 11.

The dates and times for the Call of Duty: Black ops 4 Private Multiplayer Beta are listed below. All times listed are in Pacific Time.

  • PlayStation 4: August 3 at 10 a.m. PT – August 6 at 10 a.m. PT
  • PlayStation 4 and Xbox One: August 10 at 10 a.m. PT – August 13 at 10 a.m. PT
  • PC Beta Early Access: August 10 at 10 a.m. PT (PC exclusively on Battle.net)
  • PC Open Beta: August 11 at 10 a.m. PT – August 13 at 10 a.m. PT

How to Get a Black Ops 4 Beta Code

Early access to the Black Ops 4 Private Multiplayer Beta is exclusive to those who pre-order the game. To participate in the beta, you must pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 from participating retailers to obtain your Multiplayer Beta access code. 

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Beta will feature six maps, including two that will make their public debut during the beta. Players will get to try out new Specialists as well as returning Specialists Nomad and Prophet, which will feature new gameplay mechanics created specifically for Black Ops 4.

The game modes for the Multiplayer Beta include series staples like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy, as well as a new objective-based mode called Control. In Control, players alternate between attacking and defending two static objectives. There is a limited number of lives for each team, and the first team to achieve three wins will emerge victorious.

Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta Date

A specific date for the Black Ops 4 Private Blackout Beta has not yet been announced. However, Treyarch claims that the Blackout Beta will take place sometime in September. Like the Private Multiplayer Beta, the Private Blackout Beta will come first to PS4.

We are so excited to be able to share that fun with you in September,” said Treyarch Senior Producer, Yale Miller. “The community feedback generated from going hands-on is always incredibly important, and it’s never been more so than with Blackout.”
