Far Cry 5 Tips and Tricks

There is a lot to take into account when you dive into Far Cry 5. First, the world is alive and thriving. There are plenty of enemies waiting to take you out and knowing what to do can be the different between life and death. That’s why we’ve put together these tips, to help you get a feel for the county before you get too deep into the action.

Talk to Everyone

One of the most important things you’ll want to do in Far Cry 5 is make sure you’re talking to people around the county. Talking to people is a bit different than in previous Far Cry games, and random people you meet along the way will actually tell you about things happening around the county. This is a great way to learn about outposts, Prepper Stashes, and other hidden secrets around the game. So, make sure you’re talking to people as much as possible, as this will allow you to get more locations unlocked on your map, that way you always have an idea of where to go next.

Rotate your Roster

Each specialist that you can equip in your Roster has a use, and you’ll want to make sure that you’re setting yourself up for success by rotating through the specialists as you need to. Sneaking around? Then you probably don’t want someone from your roster that specializes in loud weapons like flamethrowers or airplane bombs. Instead, focus on someone that is stealthy and can take down enemies without causing much noise. While the AI doesn’t always respond to your companions, making sure you’re using the right specialists is a key to success you’ll want to catch onto early on.

Complete Clutch Nixon Trials

While these trials might seem silly to the more serious players, the Clutch Nixon trials scattered around Hope County are more than worth completing. Not only are they fun, but they also provide you with new vehicle unlocks, some cash, and the ability to show off some sweet new gear like clothes and other items. Of course, you could ignore these and not miss out on anything, but they definitely offer some of the best encounters you’ll find in the game.

Throw Your Melee Weapons

There are an assortment of various pipes, bats, shovels, and other melee weapons scattered around the county. While these weapons are great for sneaking up behind enemies and taking them out, you can also use them to throw at enemies, distracting them for a short time. Sometimes these thrown melee items will also kill an enemy, allowing you to take them down in case you forgot to bring a bow or other silence weapon.

Remember to always stay alert and pay attention to the world around you. These are all important things to keep in mind when you’re playing through Far Cry 5 and exploring Hope County.
