How to Unlock Super Saiyan

To unlock the Super Saiyan transformation for your custom character you need to be a member of the Saiyan race. Unfortunately no other races can become Super Saiyan, but there are advantages to the other races in the game. As a Saiyan custom character you first need to complete Vegeta’s second training mission, which is not available until you reach level 40.

Speak with Vegeta in the Capsule Corporation time rift (not the Master in Conton City). You need to fight and defeat him twice before you can get the correct mission. Once you’ve done that Vegeta will instruct you to talk with Trunks (kid version) and Bulma. Once you’ve spoken to both of them, return to Vegeta to unlock the next mission, Saiyan Awakening.

In order to complete the Saiyan Awakening mission you need to defeat SSJ Vegeta and SSJ Goku. By this point in the game you should be fairly knowledgeable on how to fight, but to be on the safe side bring along some healing items to make this a bit easier. Successfully complete the mission to unlock the Super Saiyan transformation for your custom character.

Now that you have learned how to get Super Saiyan in Dragonball Xenoverse 2, it’s time get out there and take on the challenge!

How to Unlock Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3 in Dragonball Xenoverse 2

Unlocking the next two levels of Super Saiyan (sorry no Ascended Super Saiyan) is very easy compared to unlocking the initial transformation. In fact, there’s really nothing to unlock as it’s entirely based on your Ki level. When you reach three bars you have access to the initial Super Saiyan transformation. At four bars you can use Super Saiyan 2, and at five bars you can transform into Super Saiyan 3.
