Deus Ex: Mankind Divided offers plenty of ways to take your enemies down and this article covers how to get a silencer. You can shoot them with Nanoblades, take them out using your Tranq Rifle, or outright remove them from the equation using a real bullet. No matter how you want to play, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has plenty of ways to take your action and adventure to a new level.
If you’re one of those players who enjoys working from the shadows, removing enemies without raising suspicions, the you’ll want to get your hands on a Silencer. This guide will walk you through acquiring your first Silencer, that way you’ll be able to move stealthily without any enemies catching wind of your location.
Sadly you can’t craft Silencers in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, which means you’ll need to scavenge the game world for one. We’ve had a lot of luck finding them inside of level 5 safes. We do know of two places you can find a Silencer, though, so we’ve included them in this guide.
The first Silencer can be obtained by heading out of Jensen’s apartment and into the stairwell of his apartment building. Make your way to the next floor down, where you should notice a man standing outside of an apartment with an open front door. Head inside to discover a Blackmarket Vendor. You can sell and purchase items here, including things like Crafting Components, Praxis Kits, and ammunition. This particular Vendor also happens to have a nice shiny Silencer on hand, which you can pick up for around one thousand credits of in-game currency. Once you purchase it, head into your inventory to equip it.
The next Silencer on our list can be found inside of a level 5 safe inside of Task Force 29’s Base of Operations, which is located in Prague. Head down into TF29 using the elevator, and then make your way up the stairs to Vincent Black’s office. Once inside his office, locate the safe that is hidden in the wall in the far corner. There should be a level 5 Terminal here. So go ahead and hack it. If it’s too much to hack, use a Multitool, or come back once your hacking skill will allow you to continue. Once you unlock the terminal you can grab the Silencer from inside and equip it via your inventory tab.
Those are just two of the many Silencers you can find in the game. Remember to keep your eyes open as you search, and to always search the bodies of your enemies, as you never know what they might be holding on to. Silencers are a vital part of the game’s stealth mechanic, so make sure you have one equipped if you’re trying to work from the shadows.
