This article covers some of the best tips for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided if you’re a new player to the series. Mankind Divided is the newest installment in the cybercrime fighting series, and while Adam Jensen’s story isn’t exactly a new thing, many players will be entering the Deus Ex universe for the very first time. In order to help them make a quick transition into the augmented stealth series, we’ve set aside a few pro tips to help you get started.
Take Things Slow
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided isn’t just any old FPS game. If you want to make the most of your augmentations and make the best impression during your missions, you’re going to want to take things slowly at first. There are a number of tutorials throughout the first mission, and we’d suggest interacting and completing each and every one. Not only will they teach you about Jensen’s various augmentations, they will also help you better understand the game’s stealth system, which is a huge advantage for any players new to the series.
Learn to Make the Most of Your Augmentations
Jensen’s cybernetic body is chock full of various forms of augmentations that make combat and stealth not only easier, but also more effective. This means you’re going to want to get used to every augmentation you unlock. To do that we suggest taking a quick look over each and every augmentation system in the game. You can do this easily by opening up the Inventory menu, and then navigating to the Upgrade tab. You won’t have enough Praxis Points to purchase any new upgrades quite yet, but by learning more about the augmentations right now, you’ll be able to plan an unlock strategy to help you make sure you aren’t wasting any upgrade points on useless augmentations that don’t fit your play style.
Be Patient
While this tip falls somewhat under the “Take Things Slow” advice, we believe that patience is such an important factor in this game, that we wanted to make sure we covered it on its own. Taking your time dealing with enemies can mean the difference between completing missions without ever being found, or starting an all-out war with the entire level. Take your time, move slowly from cover to cover, and if two enemies seem like they’re too close to each other, wait for one of them to turn his back and walk away. You won’t regret taking a few extra seconds to let your enemies separate themselves. It has saved our lives more times than we care to admit.
These are just a couple of tips that will help you become a better player in the Deus Ex universe. No matter how new you are to the series, taking things slow, learning about your augmentations, and being patient when taking out enemies will make all the difference as you stealth, assassinate, and hack your way through Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
