Space Adds a New Dynamic To Combat

Sure, there will be plenty of gun battles to go around in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, but judging by what we’ve seen so far in the trailer, there’s a great new dynamic with the shift in gravity. You’ll be able to grapple over to new vantage points to assault enemies, and even grab onto a ship straight from your cruiser and take down surprised foes with a few quick shots. What’s more, the vast reaches of space provide infinite possibilities of where enemies could be hiding – so you can always check and find some new territory to conquer.

The Grapple Cable Looks Great

Shooting an enemy is one thing, but being able to grab onto someone and snap their neck with your bare hands is even better. The grapple cable that your character comes equipped with in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is an outstanding tool, one that locks onto a baddie, drags them towards you kicking and screaming and allows you to perform a mixture of melee moves, from quickly taking them out to pulling a grenade pin and watching them explode just seconds later. What’s more, we haven’t even seen half of what the soldiers can do in the game, so we’re probably in for some more unique death scenarios when Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare arrives this November.

We’re in Space

Say what you will about the series taking a futuristic route by going into space, but Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has some awesome possibilities when it comes to getting into full-blown combat. We’re talking about hunting after cruisers at light speed and shooting them out of the sky, and even going after bigger freighters and sending them hurtling back towards the atmosphere in fiery bits and pieces. It may be new for a series such as this, but it provides a fresh dynamic that’s sure to make for some awesome situations – especially if it’s introduced to multiplayer.

The Multiplayer Reveal Should Be Cool

Activision is taking its time revealing the multiplayer aspect of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, instead opting to tell more of the single player side of the story, where the United Nations Space Alliance (UNSA) and the Settlement Defense Front (SDF) butt heads over the battle of Earth’s natural resources. However, the publisher already promised that a full reveal is coming in just a matter of weeks during the company’s Call of Duty Experience event, and it’s there that we should get the full lowdown, from Infinity Ward’s take on the Zombies theme to the galactic warfare-ish execution of multiplayer battles. Plus, fingers crossed that we get those space cruisers, because we’re up for a dogfight.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered

Of course, one of the biggest reasons we’re pumped to play through Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is because it comes with one heck of an incentive by pre-ordering it early – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. So far, this edition of the 2007 classic looks amazing, with greater lighting, fast gameplay and a number of realistic touches. Not to mention that its multiplayer will be intact with 10 maps from Modern Warfare, along with the return of one of our favorite characters, Captain Price. There’s plenty to get excited about – and if you’re lucky, you’ll be one of the people playing it a month before its release!
