How to Finish Frostpunk 2’s Prologue

In Frostpunk 2’s prologue, you’ll be introduced to the basic resources in your typical Frostpunk playthrough. Of course, there are some changes, mostly additions, in future chapters, but they all revolve around surviving the winter.

First, you want to get Oil to power up the Dreadnaught’s Furnace, which is basically your generator in the prologue. You’ll have to frostbreak your way to the Oil Deposit and create an Extraction District on the node.

You also want to get the Materials node near it by building another Extraction District on it. Build some Housing Districts around the Dreadnaught’s Furnace and increase your worker and population count.

Once these are out of the way, you’ll get a new objective that requires you to get a food source for your people. This is where everything you do starts to get crucial. You’ll eventually need a source of food, and you have to go around from the north and circle back to the south of your position to get all the nodes.

You want to frostbreak non-stop, or you’ll get left behind. The main goal of the prologue is to survive the Whiteout by stockpiling enough food supply. The food supply you need to stockpile doesn’t seem too hard until you realize time is not on your side.

You’ll get other objectives, such as getting more Prefabs. However, you need to focus on increasing your food generation throughout. Keep your Wanderer’s belts tightened and do emergency shifts in your Food Districts. You want to build more than 3 Food Districts and keep them on emergency shifts at all times.

Once you finish the other objectives, you’ll eventually need to build a Food Stockpile Hub. You need to build two of these, so it is mandatory you get the Prefabs on the west side of the prologue since you are building multiple Food Districts that will eat up your limited Prefabs. Keep your food supply up, and you should be good for the Whiteout.

No Lesser Evil Achievement Guide

There is an achievement in the prologue called No Lesser Evil. To get the No Lesser Evil achievement, you need to ensure the Nomads’ survival while saving the seals and not expelling the elders. By finishing these objectives, you aren’t taking any freebies from the prologue, making it extremely difficult to survive.

The process or guide above didn’t mention any of these prompts popping up because you don’t really need to sacrifice the elders or murder the seals if you do the process perfectly. However, if you do choose those options, the prologue would be much easier.

So, if you want the achievement, there’s another trick to finish it more easily. There is a food supply node south of the Dreadnaught’s Furnace, which is a Seal colony. The Seal colony provides more food than other food supply nodes, which means you need to rush to this node by frostbreaking non-stop to get to it. Once you get this node and add one or two Food Districts, you should breeze through the food supply.
