The company announced today that it has lowered the price on the forthcoming prequel, going down from $39.99 to $29.99 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game will continue to sell for $29.99 at retail, or $19.99 digitally through the Xbox Store and PlayStation Network.

With the price drop, Konami “aims to provide as many people as possible an opportunity to experience Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine and the first installment in the two-part Metal Gear Solid 5 experience.”

Ground Zeroes is set to hit stores and digital on March 18th.
