The Gleaming Goliath Achievement in Dredge The Iron Rig
To earn The Gleaming Goliath achievement in Dredge The Iron Rig, you need to evade the incoming attack by the sludge monster that spawns near the oil deposits.
Here are the detailed steps on how to attain it:
- The Sludge Monster doesn’t spawn right away, and you need to reach a certain point in the story for it to start showing up.
- First, progress through the main story until you have established the defense system for the Iron Rig. You will know when that happens because there’s a short cutscene for it.
- After that, you can make your way to any oil deposit, which is marked on the map with black smudges.
- Make sure that your panic meter is fully up. You can tell you’re fully panicked when the eye turns red under the time at the top of your UI. The time of day doesn’t matter as long as the eye is red.
- Move around any oil deposit, and the monster will eventually come out
- Don’t move away because the achievement only unlocks when you evade its attack from a close distance.
- Let it come to you with its mouth wide open, stick to one of its sides, and simply move forward.
Barely evading the move will unlock The Gleaming Goliath achievement in Dredge The Iron Rig.
This is still a fairly rare achievement because players can’t figure out the exact timing of evading the attack or getting it to summon in the first place.
