Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown System Requirements Revealed

This is one demanding racing game!

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown finally has a release date and is coming to PC and current-generation consoles in September 2024. Players interested in the PC version can now give it a go with the free demo available on Steam, although it isn’t in the best shape at the moment when it comes to performance. Nevertheless, the developers have also shared the Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown system requirements on Steam as well.

The developers have broken down the requirements by target framerate, and resolution as well as the selected preset. This is a demanding game even if you’re planning on playing it at 1080p. For 1440p with a 60 FPS target at the High preset, you’ll need something like a Ryzen 5 7600X paired with an RTX 4070 with 12 GB of VRAM.

For 4K, the game only recommends an RTX 4090 with 24 GB of VRAM, and it’s still targeting just 60 FPS. Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown looks really good, but I’m not sure the visuals warrant these extremely high requirements. Based on the performance reports of the demo, it does seem like lower-end or budget PCs will have a very hard time playing this at a decent framerate.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Release Date

The game is coming to PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series S|X on September 12, 2024. If you want to pre-order it, make sure to read up on the bonus content you’ll receive for an early purchase and all its different editions.

We’re hopeful that the current build does not represent a recent development build because things aren’t looking great on the PC side of things. You can download the demo on Steam right now, and play the game for yourself. The demo is around 44 GB.
