Here’s a guide on how to choose the appropriate server for you in Wuthering Waves.

Choosing The Best Server For You in Wuthering Waves

Before starting the game, you need to understand two incredibly important things about servers in Wuthering Waves. The first lesson is that once you’ve started your adventure on a server, you can’t switch servers or change over to another server and expect your progression to remain the same.

Once you’ve picked your server and begun playing, all your unlocked characters, completed quests, and general progression will remain on that specific server, so make sure to choose wisely. It’s also worth noting that you can’t play with other players on different servers, so consider your choices first if you’re looking to play with friends or family.

The second important aspect of servers is picking the appropriate server for your location. Just like every other game out there, you need to pick a server near your current location so you can play comfortably without issue. Wuthering Waves features five regional servers and depending on where you live, playing on a server that’s far away from you may cause lagging, disconnecting, rubberbanding, and many more frustrating technical issues.

Regional Servers Available in Wuthering Waves

The currently available servers are Asia, America, Europe, SEA (Southeast Asia), and HMT (Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). If you live in Canada or Argentina then the American server will be a better option, and if you live in the Philippines or Malaysia, then the SEA server would prove to be a better choice. You need to pick a server that’s close or at least somewhat near to your location, so you don’t suffer any disadvantages while playing. It’s worth mentioning that if you live in Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, etc.), SEA or America might be the only choice you have.

A few more things to consider are pre-registration rewards, co-op missions, and server resets. If you pre-registered for Wuthering Waves, make sure to pick a server you’re confident with because once you start the game and get far, all the rewards will be sent to your account on that server. Adding on to technical issues, it’s necessary to pick a server that’s near so you can play through co-op missions without any problems.

And last but not least, each server resets at a different time depending on the location. While the developers, Kuro Games, haven’t unveiled those specific schedules, you can expect each daily reset to happen at either midnight or early morning within the central timezone of those regional servers. The same goes for weekly resets.

But that’s pretty much the gist of servers in Wuthering Waves and how you can pick the best one for your adventure tomorrow. For more guides on Wuthering Waves like what to expect from the game or when the title officially releases, feel free to check out our dedication section on Prima Games.
