How to Make the Falcon Blade in Backpack Battles

While many of the recipes in Backpack Battles are intuitive, there are some that will leave you scratching your head. That was certainly my experience when I first tried to make the Falcon Blade. Fortunately, once you know the recipe, this swift sword is a breeze to make.

To make the Falcon Blade in Backpack Battles, combine the Wooden Sword with two Whetstones to get the Hero Sword. Then, combine the Hero Sword with two Gloves of Haste to make the Falcon Blade.

Wooden Sword + 2x WhetstonesHero Sword
Hero Sword + 2x Gloves of HasteFalcon Blade

It’s on that final step that most people get tripped up and try making two Hero Swords instead. Fortunately, you don’t have to jump through that many hoops. But the Falcon Blade pales in comparison to the Crossblade, which does 9-12 damage, and starts the battle by giving all starred adjacent weapons a +10 bonus, and all adjacent diamond items a 60% faster trigger time. And each time you hit, the Crossblade gains +1 damage and triggers 3x faster.

CrossbladeGodly Melee WeaponDamage: 9-12
Effect: Start of battle: The Star Weapon gains 10 damage. The Diamond item triggers 60% faster.
On hit: Gain +1 damage and trigger 3% faster.
Falcon BladeLegendary Melee WeaponDamage: 4-5
Effect: Start of battle: Star items trigger 30% faster.

To get the Crossblade in Backpack Battles, you’ll need to combine the Falcon Sword with the Hero Longsword. To make the Hero Longsword, you’ll need to combine the Hero Sword with 2x Whetstones.

That means if you’re going for this fabled combination, you’ll need to collect as many Whetstones as you can, right at the start of the game.

While the Falcon Blade is good for all classes, it’s particularly potent on the Pyromancer who prioritizes fast attacks. She also has a slew of fantastic items that can be made even more potent with Gooberts.
