How to Make a Slayer Helmet in OSRS (Old School RuneScape)

The Slayer Helm may not be the first thing you should unlock, but it’s a handy piece of equipment when you have a task that requires specific head slot items. On top of that, you can recolor it too, which is important, as fashionscape is a priority.

Here’s how to obtain the Slayer Helmet:

  • Exchange 400 Slayer rewards points for the Malevolent masquerade ability.
  • Make sure that you have 55 Crafting to craft the Slayer Helm.
  • Make sure that you have 10 Defense to equip the Slayer Helm.
  • Combine the following Slayer items: black mask, earmuffs, enchanted gem, facemask, nose peg, and spiny helmet.
  • The earmuffs, enchanted gem, facemask, nose peg, and spiny helmet can all be purchased from a Slayer Master directly. All of them except for the enchanted gem can also be purchased from the Grand Exchange. The black mask can be purchased from the Grand Exchange or dropped from Cave Horrors, and Cave Abominations.

How to Imbue the Slayer Helm in OSRS

If you’re planning on using a Slayer Helmet in OSRS, it is worth imbuing for the multiple benefits in doing so.

  • 15% damage increase to Ranged
  • 15% damage increase to Magic
  • +10 Magic defense
  • +3 Magic attack
  • +3 Ranged attack

You can imbue the Slayer Helm via the following methods:

  • 1,250,000 Nightmare Zone reward points.
  • 500 Soul Wars Zeal Tokens.
  • Scroll of Imbuing (Purchased from Al Kharid PvP Arena)

You can change the color of the imbued version of the Slayer Helmet in exactly the same way that you can its base form.

The Slayer Helm can help protect you from certain Slayer monsters in OSRS, but knowing how to check if OSRS is currently down will protect you from unnecessary stress when you’re having issues logging into the game.
