When you enter the Grasslands for the first time in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, one of the first buildings you will find is Thorin’s Card Shop. It’s meant to be visited, but Cloud isn’t allowed in yet, so I’m here to help you unlock it.

How to Enter Thorin’s Card Shop in FF7 Rebirth

Reach the end of the “A Rare Card Lost” side quest to unlock Thorin’s Card Shop. Until you begin this quest line, there is no way to enter the building. Checking for broken walls or attempting to break down the wall will be useless. So, the next step is to get started on the quest, which is your first storyline tied to the Queen’s Blood card game in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. For this, you need to head back to Kalm.

The “A Rare Card Lost” quest is started by opening the Noticeboard outside the tavern in Kalm. If you just started exploring the Grasslands after escaping Shinra, you won’t be able to go back to the town right away. Instead, catch your first Chocobo to progress the main story and start completing side objectives around the Grasslands. Pretty soon you can head back to Kalm with no issues.

Once you start the quest, you must defeat Virgil in a game of Queen’s Blood for his card. Of course, he doesn’t have the card because he sold it off. That takes Cloud and his party over to Thorin’s Card Shop, which will be open now, and you can enter immediately. If you’ve already been here before, you can open up the map and fast travel here directly from where Virgil is located. Then it’s time to defeat Thorin for his rare card in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Try your best to win because you could need this card as you reach the Queen’s Blood tournament down the line.
