Left 4 Dead delayed again, just a fortnight though

It’s gonna be 20th November

Gabe Newell, Valve’s CEO, has made it clear that Left 4 Dead will be delayed for a couple more weeks, making the release date 20th November.

As for the cause of delay, we’re not exactly sure, but speaking to Dutch site Gamekings Valve explained the date is now set to match the 10th anniversary of Half Life’s release which, as you may remember, pretty much set a new standard for first-person shooters.

Left 4 Dead is a fist-person shooter that pits players against swarms of zombies in a set of various abandoned locations.

The game is to be kept interesting with what Valve are calling an AI Director, which will constantly reassess the level, continuing to place zombies in areas it hasn’t before, varying the levels of intensity with which they attack. The AI Director is so clever that it can take into account exactly how well your team has been performing and match your enemy bombardment accordingly.
