How to Get Ancestor’s Favor Nightmare Sigils in Diablo 4

Hopefully the Ancestors favor your rolls

One of the most enticing parts of the Lunar Awakening event in Diablo 4 is the chance to earn the Ancestor’s Favor affix on a Nightmare Sigil. We all want that sweet Glyph XP bonus and I can outline how they are found in this Season 3 guide.

How to Get the Ancestor’s Favor Affix on Diablo 4 Nightmare Sigils

The Ancestor’s Favor Affix is a random roll on any Nightmare Sigils that you craft or earn from reward caches during the Lunar Awakening. As always, the best way to get a sigil with the affix you want is to craft them with Sigil Powder and gold. Players that are in World Tier 4 will already have plenty of resources to roll sigils over and over again. But that doesn’t help the lower-level characters.

Whisper Caches and rewards from the Lunar Awakening Event have a chance to drop some Ancestor’s Favor Nightmare Sigils. However, earning caches will take far more time than just running through the dungeons themselves. After all, you can’t earn sigils until you reach World Tier 3, regardless.

Ancestor’s Favor Affix Effect on Nightmare Sigils:

  • Guarantees only Lunar Shrines spawn for that dungeon.
  • In addition to the extra Shrines, you will also receive 10% bonus Glyph XP once the Dungeon is complete!

If you are low on Sigil Powder, I would recommend just running the Nightmare Vaults and standard Nightmare Dungeons until you get the roll you want. I have been running Nightmare Vaults more than anything else in Season 3 and you should still have a chance to get the Ancestor’s Favor affix on Vault Sigils as well.

Make sure you collect any of the sigils you find during the Lunar Awakening event if they end up with the right affix. These can be used after the event ends as well, and they are a fantastic way to earn more Glyph XP. We all know how tedious that grind can get once you get past level 15 on each one.

After all, you need as much Glyph power as you can get before you take on the Echo of Malphas in Diablo 4.
