What Is Lights Out in Dead by Daylight

Lights Out is a new mode that will allow players to jump into Dead by Daylight with literally no distractions. It’s going to be the most “realistic” version of the game to date, with the following modifiers to make the game all the more intense:

  • No Loadouts
  • No Bringable Items
  • No Perks
  • No Add-Ons
  • No Scratch Marks
  • No HUD
  • No Terror Radius
  • Chests on the map containing items for Survivors

This will make the game much more difficult for both Killers and Survivors to accomplish their goals, while also making Dead by Daylight all the more terrifying than ever. I’m beyond excited to get jumpscared by the Dredge slowly creeping up behind me without even realizing that it’s there.

How Long Is Lights Out Mode Available in Dead by Daylight?

Lights Out mode will be available from February 7, 2024, until February 14, 2024. While it will only be available for a week of playtime, we hope this Limited Time game mode becomes a permanent addition to the roster. After this game mode has left, it is unclear if Behaviour has any plans to reimplement it back into the rotation, or if another LTM will take its place.

With the introduction of Alan Wake to the Dead by Daylight roster, it seems that things can only go up from here. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on our section below to learn more about the game, and find out what other kinds of updates will be added in the future.
