How To Build the Pal Essence Converter in Palworld

Once you reach Level 14, you can unlock the Pal Essence Converter using two Technology Points. After you have unlocked this device, you’ll need the following items to build it:

  • 20 Paldium Fragments
  • 20 Ingots
  • 5 Ancient Civilization Parts

You’ll find the Pal Essence Converter in your standard Build Menu; no workbench is required. Find the perfect spot for it, and start building this great piece of technology. What is it used for, however? Well, since you’ll be capturing plenty of different creatures throughout your adventure, use your Condenser to make your favorite Pals even stronger. How do you use it, though?

How to Use Pal Essence Condenser in Palworld

Trying to use the Pal Essence Condenser can be a bit confusing at first, so we’ll walk you through all the steps you’ll need to become a master. Since you can upgrade your Pals a maximum of three times, we’ll cover the basic steps so you can continue making stronger friends. Select a Pal from your Palbox that you’d like to upgrade first — it cannot be a member of your current party. This is going to be the base Pal that will receive the upgrade.

Next, you’re going to want to select four Pals that you can use as sacrifices on this quest for eternal strength. For Upgrade 2, you’ll need 16 Pals to sacrifice; the final upgrade requires 64 Pals to reach its full potential. Do note that they all need to be the same type of Pal, so you can’t just grab who you want; you’ll need 64 for the final upgrade.

Make sure that you’ve selected the right pals to sacrifice. You don’t want to send them off to the great beyond with no way to recover them, especially if you accidentally grabbed one that is more powerful than expected. You’ll get a prompt to warn you that there is no way to get them back, and once you select yes, you’ll have a newly powered-up Pal.
