During the Early Game grind, you’ll need to make sure that you’re fighting as many foes as possible to start making some serious money. While you’re still fairly weak, you should be able to make your way through anything the game throws at you during the beginning portions, just make sure to keep an eye on the color-coded enemies that are roaming around the city to ensure that you can challenge them and defeat them easily.
If you’re feeling the burn from taking down so many different enemies, you could always try out some of the different mini-games available to you to start earning cash. For those jonesing for a Crazy Taxi fix, head toward the beaches of Honolulu City and take part in some Crazy Delivery. It’s just like the classic arcade game but with a bike instead of a car, and it’s absurd. If you’re still in Isezaki Ijincho, be sure to give Can Hunting a try once again, as it’s a great way to make some extra money quickly.
Depending on how far you are in the story, Dungeons are also another excellent way to start making some quick cash as well as leveling up your characters quickly. You’ll unlock these at the start of Chapter 5, so it doesn’t take too long to get here all things considered. Finding different items throughout the map through Treasure Hunts or by defeating enemies can grant you items that will sell for thousands of dollars — if not even more than that. There are also plenty of Pawn Shops spread throughout the map, so you’ll never be too far away from one. You could always catch a taxi or use the Street Surfer to make some serious distance quickly.
