How to Respec Character Stats in Palworld – Exact Method

You can Respec your stats in Palworld by using the Memory Wiping Medicine. Although it takes a good while to craft it, all of your spent points will be refunded and you can start anew. This is perfect to make better use of some of the points you invested in certain stats early, but now would be better spent elsewhere.

The only problem is that it takes a good while before you can get your hands in that medicine, and unless you’re playing in a server with boosted experience, you won’t be able to respec your points before tossing some dozens of hours into the game.

How to Unlock the Memory Wiping Medicine in Palworld

The Memory Wiping Medicine is available after reaching Level 43 and learning how to craft the Electric Medicine Workbench from the Technology tab in the menu. And yes, this is very late in the game, at a point where you also unlock other powerful gadgets like the Legendary Sphere for stronger Pals and the Metal Defensive Wall.

While it uses a lot of late-game materials such as Circuit Boards and Refined Ingots, the Electric Medicine Workbench unlocks this special potion which can be used as many times as you want, provided you have enough ingredients for making it again and again. It doesn’t work on Pals, though, as you can reset their stats using Gold at the Statue of Power.

Recipe for Electric Medicine Workbench

You’ll need the Electric Medicine Workbench to craft Memory Wiping Medicine. You’ll need Refined Ingots to make it, which can be made in a Primitive Furnace. Here’s the entire recipe for crafting the Electric Medicine Workbench:

  • 40 Refined Ingots.
  • 10 Circuit Board.
  • 20 Carbon Fiber.
Tip:

You can make Circuit Boards in a Production Assembly Line. Circuit Boards will cost you 4x Pure Quartz and 2x Polymer. You can also make Carbon Fiber in a Production Assembly Line with 2x Coal or 5x Charcoal.

Can You Respec Technology Points in Palworld?

Technology points cannot be reset, no matter what you do. The game intends to have you learning how to craft everything at some point, and that’s why you usually get tons of Technology points at once per level, as well as finding some books that give you some extra points from time to time.

While you may regret not having enough points for making a saddle for that new Pal you just caught, you’ll have to wait a bit until you level up once again to unlock that new goodie you’ve been wanting for a while. Or you can look out for Dungeons around the world, as they may occasionally reward you with some extra Technology points.

Since it takes a long time to reach 43, even when catching lots of different Pals and upgrading your Base with new gadgets and structures, try to keep your build as clean as possible by only investing your points on certain stats as you feel really necessary. The most crucial points are probably the first ones you get, so be extra careful with those!
