Is it Worth Buying a Hint in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown?

In most cases, it is not worth buying a hint in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. The early section of the main quest is fairly easy to follow and the cost of a hint is 30 time crystals, which can set you back a bit. When you’re trying to save up for potion upgrades or some more damage on your sands, every crystal counts.

What really makes the hint a bad idea, though, is the settings in the game. If you are truly lost in where to go, you can toggle the guidance option in the settings menu for some helpful hints at no extra charge. Compared to the hint from Fariba, the guidance mode will be far better and will save you frustration if you truly need it.

Later on in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, finding your way can start to get confusing. You eventually need to backtrack to older zones for new pathways. Speaking to Fariba and spending the 30 time crystals can save you some time of your own if you’re already in The Haven. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry about utilizing those services. Most of them are vague anyway.

If you happen to find Fariba anywhere else on the map, then I highly recommend you buy what she has. Farida sells a full map for each location in Prince of Persia that reveals all possible routes. These cost 50 time crystals and are far better for traversal than any of her vague hints. Don’t forget to look for these as you adventure.
