And it looks like it'll be coming to next-gen consoles as well.

Earlier this week, Ubisoft let the “killer cat” out of the bag, so to speak, when it officially confirmed that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag would be making its way to stores this year.  But now it’s revealed a few more crucial details about the game, with more to come next week.

The world premiere trailer for Black Flag will be making its way online this Monday, revealing first details about the game, and what players can expect from the pirate-oriented assassin this time around.

In addition, the company has already pinpointed a release date for the title – October 29th – for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii U.  But, if that’s not enough, it’s also confirmed that the game will be coming to next-gen consoles as well, presumably Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s yet-to-be-revealed Next Xbox.  Big news, indeed, but no word yet on whether those versions would have any additional content.  We’ll find out soon enough.

We’ll have more Assassin’s Creed IV news for you next week, so be sure to check back for all the murderous details.
