How to Buy a Spirit House in The Sims 4: For Rent

The first step to leaving fruit and incense at a spirit house is to purchase the object through the game’s Build-Buy menu for 250 Simoleons. You can search for it by typing “Spirit House” in the search bar and placing it in your world, allowing you to use it whenever you wish.

Alternatively, you can go into the Build-Buy menu, enter the outdoors section, and search the outdoor activities category until you see the spirit house in the item list.

The spirit house is an outdoor-only object, so you won’t be able to create a dedicated indoor room for it. Leave some space outside on your lot so you can place and use it.

How to Leave Fruit or Incense at a Spirit House in The Sims 4: For Rent

Once you place your spirit house outdoors on your lot, interact with it to find two options for leaving fruit and incense. For the Fount of Tomarani Knowledge aspiration, it doesn’t matter which option you pick. However, placing incense grants you a brief happy moodlet, making it a slightly better option.

After leaving fruit and incense at the spirit house, you’ll have to wait a few hours for both to disappear. The incense will be the first to go, with the fruit gradually decaying until it goes away. The game automatically removes both, allowing you to leave more for other Sims who wish to complete the aspiration or gain happy moodlets.
