Where to Find Hot Spots in Fortnite Chapter 5

You can find Hot Spots by looking at the map and looking for any point of interest with golden letters. Most points of interest are colored with white lettering, so anytime you see yellowish-gold, that means the location is a designated “hot spot” for the duration of the match. Open up your map and check out which ones are highlighted before the match starts to get a glimpse.

I can’t give you an exact location for a Hot Spot because they change with each match. Some common ones Hazy Hillside and Pleasant Piazza, but that doesn’t mean they will always be marked in yellow. That’s why it’s important to check the highlights on the map before you jump into the Battle Bus for your next match.

When you do reach a Hot Spot in Fortnite Chapter 5, the only real difference you will find is the drones that fly around overhead. They can all be shot down for some decent loot including rare weapons and shields. Of course, the extra loot in drones scattered around the sky is an extra reason for other players to drop hot in the area.

During Chapter 5 Season 1 in Fortnite, there is also a weekly quest that tasks you with finding seven weapons that are Rare or better at a Hot Spot. Your best bet to complete the quest is to find the vault in any of these highlighted areas, which guarantees at least two chests. Usually, there is at least one rare chest which makes it even easier.

While you’re in the new weekly challenges, you might want to try the Enforcer AR in Fortnite.
