Monopoly GO Events and Tournaments Explained

Monopoly GO events are limited-time activities you can participate in over several days to gain points and receive rewards. Initially, you’ll spot prizes like cash, a small amount of dice, and one-star sticker packs. However, as you progress further in the event, you’ll spot high-quality sticker packs, large numbers of dice, and other exclusive rewards like tokens and shields, depending on the event.

Similarly, tournaments are a limited-time event where you directly compete with other players to reach the top of a leaderboard and get rewards. While low-ranking players get some cash, those that rank at the top typically get a large amount of Monopoly money, dice, and rare sticker packs. Alongside this, you’ll also find milestone gifts as you collect points, allowing you to get additional prizes.

All Monopoly GO Event and Tournament Types Listed

Throughout your Monopoly GO adventures, you’ll find multiple event types that can influence how you play and give you a huge advantage in obtaining cash, dice, and stickers. Below are some of the main ones you’ll find:

  • Seasons are themed events introducing new sticker albums, tournament themes, and other new features to Monopoly GO. The current season is Monopoly Origins, a themed season with exclusive stickers, tokens, events, and graphical changes to card packs, among other changes. These typically last for 1-3 months.
  • Main events are the major events with anywhere from 40-50 reward tiers, lasting around 2-4 days before immediately leading into another one.
  • Tournaments are shorter versions of main events, typically lasting 1-2 days, where you directly compete with other players for rewards. You’ll also receive milestone rewards for collecting certain points, allowing you to get plenty of prizes even if you don’t land first place.
  • Partner events are co-op events that last around 5-6 days. You’ll collaborate in teams of two with four other players to collect points to build structures in the center of your Monopoly board, obtaining rewards along the way.
  • Golden Blitz is a limited-time sticker event, usually lasting 12 hours, that allows you to trade gold stickers with others. This is the only time you can swap gold stickers, making it one of the few chances to receive these rare cards.
  • Minigames are limited-time events that involve using currency like Peg-E chips and pickaxes to play a small game in exchange for rewards. These usually last a few days, depending on the game.
  • Mini events are other short, limited-time events like Landmark Rush, Board Rush, or Rent Frenzy that give you a slight boost to the money, dice, and stickers you receive as you play Monopoly GO. These appear randomly each day and typically only last a few minutes, upwards of one hour.
