Assassin’s Creed III has done a great job rewriting history with the inclusion of an effective assassin, but you ain’t seen nothing yet, as the company is working on a new piece of downloadable content that will have you facing off against a warped version of president George Washington.  And you won’t have to wait long to get it.

Ubisoft has announced that it will release the latest DLC for the game, the first chapter of The Tyranny of King Washington, on February 19th.  The price is $9.99, or you can get it for free if you subscribe to the Season Pass.

Here’s a description of what’s happening in this twisted take on American history, straight from Ubi.

“In the first episode of the Tyranny of King Washington series, our hero, Ratonhnhaké:ton, awakens from an unsettling dream to find that, despite his efforts to deliver justice in the newly-founded United States of America, a new king has been crowned – George Washington. The Infamy will take gamers through the beginning of the journey to dethrone this new king.”

The DLC is being released for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and it will eventually make its way to Wii U as well.  Let’s just hope that Benjamin Franklin doesn’t flip his lid.
