Lava Cave Locations in LEGO Fortnite

You can find lava caves in any Dry Valley desert biome around the LEGO Fortnite map. In my world, the Dry Valley was located to the south of Grasslands biome where my adventure started. Unlike the snowy areas and the beach, I wasn’t able to see the desert from my village right away and I had to do some exploring beforehand.

Considering every world can be different in LEGO Fortnite depending on the world seed you choose, finding a desert is going to take some exploring on your end.

How to Find LEGO Fortnite Lava Caves

Because the map is based on gear upgrades, you will almost always start in the Grasslands. From there, I like searching south first just to be safe, but the desert will never be out of reach due to the upgrades you need.

When you locate the Dry Valley, it’s time to start searching for a lava cave. If you’re in this area, then you know that the caves in the Grasslands always have an entrance that you need to interact with. Lava caves are no different and you will need to find a similar boulder that sticks out among the rest of the rocks in the area.

Compared to the Grasslands, the lava cave entrances blend in a bit better so you will need to keep a sharper eye. Once you find an entrance though, it will be marked with the same cave POI symbol on your map and you can always return. Just make sure to have some cooling food before you head inside.

Other Tips for Finding LEGO Fortnite Lava Caves

Unlike typical caves, lava caves remain hidden on the world map until you enter them, and they seamlessly blend with Dry Valley’s rocky landscape. To enhance your exploration efforts, follow these tips for finding lava caves:

  1. Explore canyons with recessed alcoves along the walls, often concealing hidden openings.
  2. Check beneath large boulders for concealed gaps.
  3. Deviate from main routes to uncover less obvious holes.
  4. While mining stone, watch for unexpected passages.
  5. Look out for signs like lava bats or enemies emerging from concealed tunnels.

Discovering lava caves relies on the random generation of each world, so exercise patience and sharp observation skills to increase your chances of finding them.

  2. Watch out for dangerous creatures like lava bats and zombies.
  3. Navigate through dark, maze-like passages that may cause disorientation.

Essential Equipment for Lava Cave Exploring:
