How to Get Flexwood in LEGO Fortnite

Flex your loot

Before you can start mining for materials like Copper in LEGO Fortnite, you need to get a healthy supply of Flexwood. Even if you know where to look, having the right tool for harvesting is important, which I’ll explain in my guide.

Where to Find Flexwood in LEGO Fortnite

Flexwood is located in the Dry Valley biome and can only be cut down with a rare Forest Axe. Every cactus that you see in the Dry Valley will provide you with some raw Flexwood if you can manage to cut it down. But if you haven’t discovered the desert-themed part of the map yet, then you won’t be able to cut it down.

To get a rare Forest Axe, you need to have some Cut Amber. The gold-colored gem is also located in the Dry Valley and can be mined with an uncommon Pickaxe. Once you mine some Rough Amber, it can be dropped into a Gem Cutter machine to make the Cut Amber. Use this to get a rare Forest Axe and head back to the Dry Valley.

Your new axe will be able to cut down any of the cacti around the desert. Make sure to collect all that you can and head back to your village so you can start working on making a rare pickaxe for copper mining.

How to Get Flexwood Rods in LEGO Fortnite

Just like any other types of wood, the Flexwood you collected from the Dry Valley can be placed into a Lumber Mill to create Flexwood Rods. These are what you need to create a rare Pickaxe, along with some more Cut Amber. And now you can head back to the desert to search molten caves for copper and obsidian deposits.

If you’re just getting started in the Dry Valley, stay focused on the Cut Amber portion of your material collecting.
