How to Get Inside Golden Gates in The Talos Principle 2

There are 13 golden gates in The Talos Principle 2, each hidden somewhere in the island regions you’ll explore. None of your robot companions will know how to get inside them. Fortunately, the steps to open the golden gates aren’t complicated, but it’ll take a long time. The following are the requirements you must meet:

  • Solve all 24 Lost Puzzles in the game
  • Enter all 12 Towers in each of the areas

12 of the golden gates will open after your fourth trip to the Megastructure for story purposes and by meeting these requirements

Because of how they unlock, you won’t be able to get behind the doors until much later in The Talos Principle 2. Leading up to the game’s ending, complete Lost Puzzles along the way so you can explore the other side of the golden gates when the opportunity comes.

The Talos Principle 2: What’s Behind the Golden Gates?

You’ll get to take on 12 complex puzzles as a reward for unlocking the golden gates. The first game had similar secret puzzles in the late game for players to discover and try to solve. After finishing each one in their respective regions on the island, another golden gate near the Megastructure will unlock after taking the VTOL from the base camp.

Aside from an achievement, you won’t receive anything for finishing these puzzles. So, if you’re itching for more content before closing the door on this game, consider popping open the golden gates ahead of its ending.
