Best Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Controller Settings Explained

The best controls to take over Night City!

There are certain video games that play better with a controller over a mouse and keyboard, and personally, I think Cyberpunk 2077 is one of those. But if you don’t have the best controller settings in Cyberpunk 2077, then you’re losing out on part of the experience altogether.

The Best Controller Settings in Cyberpunk 2077

Believe it or not, most of the default settings in Cyberpunk 2077 prove more than adequate to take control of V and work your way up through the criminal underworld of Night City. But if you want to adjust a few settings, we recommend the following:

SettingValue
Inner Dead Zone0.05
Outer Dead Zone0.90
Vibration100
Steering Sensitivity100
Horizontal Sensitivity10
Vertical Sensitivity10
Response CurveRecommended
Zoom Sensitivity Reduction1

Furthermore, you’ll want to set the Turning Ramp-Up Time, Turning Delay, Horizontal Turning, and Vertical Turning to 0.

Regarding Inner and Outer Dead Zone values, while the numbers we listed above are our recommendations, you may wish to alter them slightly. We recommend changing up the value only slightly and then testing your experience. Avoid making drastic changes!

Vehicle Controller Settings

I always felt that the driving, even with recent updates, was the weakest part of Cyberpunk 2077. With a few controller tweaks, it’s bearable.

  • Hold to Fire: On
  • Reverse Camera Target Input: Off
  • Third-Person Perspective Camera Angle: Low

Otherwise, you can leave the rest of the settings alone and enjoy the game with your controller.

But if you want better precision aiming while in first-person mode, specifically in combat, we cannot recommend a keyboard and mouse enough. That is if you’re playing on PC. You can aim better and faster, typically speaking.

After you’re done tweaking your controller settings, you may want to score the free Witcher gear in Cyberpunk 2077.
