Weight Capacity is one of the most frustrating stats to deal with as you progress your own V in Cyberpunk 2077, but with Update 2.0, you can start collecting Carry Capacity Shards to make it easier. I’ll go over where you can find these shards without fail to permanently increase your capacity.

Where to Find Carrying Capacity Shards in Cyberpunk 2077

Carrying Capacity Shards can be found by completing Airdrops in Dogtown and then hacking the container for all the loot. These are tied to the Phantom Liberty expansion in Cyberpunk 2077 and they will randomly spawn as you explore the open world in Dogtown. At most of the Airdrops I completed, I was able to loot at least one Weight Capacity upgrade.

In some cases, the enemies around the Airdrop will have a chance to drop the Carrying Capacity Shard as loot. Most of these world events contain enemies, so you always have an opportunity to search for the upgrade. However, I would just assume that the loot you really want will be inside the drop.

Any time you pick up one of the Carrying Capacity Shards in Cyberpunk 2077, you will get a permanent increase worth two points. So if you have 198 Weight Capacity, the shard will bump it to 200. As far as I can tell, there is no limit to how many shards can be collected and I’m still hunting them down as I play.

To locate the Airdrops themselves, simply drive around Dogtown and wait for the super loud machine sound in the sky. This is always followed by a box with a red flare. Just follow the flare and get prepared to take on the enemies guarding the drop. Before you know it, the shard is yours.
