Weapon's hot

Phantom Liberty is a spy thriller at heart, and that means there are plenty of sequences where stealth seems like the only option in Cyberpunk 2077. I ran into numerous situations where characters would tell me to keep it quiet, but I’m not that type of player, and I tested my boundaries for stealth in the expansion.

Do You Need to Sneak in Phantom Liberty (Cyberpunk 2077)

In most scenarios, you do not need to use stealth to complete a quest in Phantom Liberty. Nearly every objective in the expansion can be done with weapons firing as loud as possible, even when characters ask that you stay under the radar. Much of the time, the worst that happens is a three-second scolding from your partner.

There are a couple of sequences where stealth is required, and you will fail your mission if you are caught. One of those instances is tied to the final mission in Phantom Liberty, depending on the path you take. So if you run into the Cyberpunk 2077 version of Alien Isolation, then definitely keep your weapons real cold.

Otherwise, you can start shooting nearly any enemies you want in the game. It doesn’t matter how adamant Songbird, Reed, or Myers are. As long as you have the strength to tear through the opposition, then you can keep those weapons hot. Even during one of the major infiltration missions, you can just start raining bullets down with your new sniper.

Of course, you can attempt to stay hidden in most missions as well. Players who love stealth builds have plenty of opportunity to really live out that Cyberpunk spy thriller pushed by Phantom Liberty. But if you’re like me and can’t stand stealth missions, then start firing away.
