How to Respec in Lies of P

My whole build has been a lie

Lies of P Respec Featured

We all commit some mistakes while we’re young and new. This also applies to playing a game for the first time, and Lies of P might give you this feeling. If you feel like you messed up your build, you still have a chance to make it better. Take a look at how you can respec your levels in Lies of P, the fabulous Pinocchio-inspired Soulslike.

How to Reset Your Build in Lies of P

You can reallocate your stats halfway into the game in Chapter VII. Some story spoilers below, so read at your own risk!

After beating the Chapter VII boss (Champion Victor) in the Grand Exhibition Gallery, you meet Simon Manus and he hands you the Saintess of Mercy Statue Gallery Key. Now return to the room where you fought the big wrestler guy who resembled Victor (just turn your back from the Stargazer and walk down the stairs to your right, then keep going forward) and look for a locked door.

Use the key here and you’ll encounter the aforementioned Statue, where you can use your Gold Coin Fruits to reset your whole build. This goes from points you allocated using Ergo to your P-Organ and Legion Arms upgrades. The more you reset your build, the more Gold Coin Fruits it will require. There’s also a Stargazer here, so don’t worry about the long travel.

Tip:

If you’re playing a New Game +, you won’t need to play half the game again before trying a new build. The Saintess Statue room is already unlocked from the beginning at the Stargazer and you can respec anytime you want. The door is also locked so you can’t break the game’s sequence.

How to Get Gold Coin Fruit to Respec in Lies of P

Gold Coin Fruits can be obtained by harvesting the Tree back in Hotel Krat, which you unlocked by completing Chapter V. You can normally get one every 10 minutes, and the tree can store up to eight of them. You can increase this limit with the P-Organ, but unless you’re really unsure of which build to follow, you usually won’t need to bother with that.

When relocating your stats, you can make whichever build you want, which is great if you want to try new things out in a New Game + run. Your base Path cannot be changed, but it won’t make much of a difference by now since you can level anything in any way you want.
