Will Chop Top Sawyer Be In The Texas Chainsaw Massacre?

Peel that pig and slice him thick.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre has had quite a history. Not only did it come out swinging with one of the most terrifying debut films in horror history, but it’s also dabbled in the world of comedy and more dramatic storytelling. While The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 might be the most bizarre follow-up that anybody could have expected, there are a variety of characters that could fit well within the world of the latest Texas Chainsaw Massacre game, including Bobby “Chop Top” Sawyer. Are we ever going to see this villain make his way into the game, or is it just a dream to hold onto?

Can You Play As Chop Top Sawyer In The Texas Chainsaw Massacre?

As it stands, there is no way to play as Chop Top Sawyer in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but that doesn’t mean that we need to give up hope just yet. While Gun Interactive’s previous project, Friday The 13th, may have run into some legal woes that slowed the rate of content to almost a dribble, it seems they’re working hard to prevent that from happening with this particular entry.

According to an interview with PCGamesN‘s writer Danielle Rose;

“The situation surrounding Friday the 13th was inherently more complicated than it is with Texas. With Texas, we are dealing directly with Kim Henkel, the sole owner of the IP. We’ve been working closely with him during the entire process not only from a creative standpoint, but also a legal one. We have been as diligent as possible during this entire experience to ensure things go smoothly.”

So, while this doesn’t confirm the possibility of getting this grotesque creature added into The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it does at least give those hoping to see his grisly visage in the game the chance to hold on hope for just a little while longer. While the base roster is rather strong, the ability to bring new Killers and victims from the lore of the TCSM world into the game could help its longevity for quite some time.

While you may not be able to get your true California Girls moment in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, you’ll be able to celebrate with your squad when you finally exit these terrifying levels.
