How to Get the Hero’s Sword in Remnant 2

Have I seen this sword somewhere? Nah, must be a coincidence.

There are a surprising amount of secret weapons in Remnant 2, let alone secrets in general. Some of these are extremely useful, such as the Plasma Cutter which can only appear when defeating a rare enemy. Others are rings that aren’t useful for your current build, which is far less useful. One such weapon isn’t super useful, but can only be gotten in a very specific circumstance. Here’s how to get the Hero’s Sword melee weapon in Remnant 2.

Where to Find the Hero’s Sword in Remnant 2

Before you waste your time, it’s important to note that it is impossible to get the Hero’s Sword on your main character. The reason for this will become clear in a moment. With that out of the way, you’ll want to kick off your hunt for the Hero’s Sword by completing Remnant 2’s main campaign at least once. This involves going through the three major worlds along with the final zone, and the final boss.

Once you’ve done all of that, you’ll want to head back to the Main Menu and make a new character. Head through the usual tutorial stuff until you reach Ward 13 and need to select your starting Archetype. Select the Explorer, and you’ll get your set of starting weapons. These include Ford’s Scattergun, the Repeater Pistol, and, you guessed it, the Hero’s Sword melee weapon.

The Hero’s Sword has an innate Mod that can’t be changed. This mod transforms Charge Attacks to use Stamina and send out an energy wave, hitting enemies from a solid distance. You can also apply any Mutator you wish, so get out there and snag something nice!
