When was the last time we had a game starring Mickey Mouse? Well, there weren’t any after Castle of Illusion from 2013! Ten years later, another game with Mickey and Friends and the “Illusion” title is finally coming out and drawing major inspiration from the old-school 90s Disney platformers. However, Disney Illusion Island is not a direct sequel to any previous “Illusion” platformer, it is more like a spiritual successor with a completely new Metroidvania-style gameplay that can be played in both single and multiplayer.
In the new game, Mickey and his friends are stylized in a more modern fashion similar to the recent animated movies, but has the voice cast remained the same? Let’s find out who are the voice actors for these legendary characters in Disney Illusion Island.

If you know your Disney, these names will be familiar to you immediately! These are all currently official voices for Disney’s iconic characters. Brett Iwan is only the fourth official Mickey Mouse voice actor ever, who has taken on the role since 2009, while Kaitlyn Robrock is a bit more recent, becoming the official Minnie in 2019.
On the other hand, voice actors for Donald and Goofy are some real old-school legends that have been lending their voices to these fan-favorite characters since 1985 and 1987 respectively. Finally, there is Corey Burton who has been working for Disney since 1976. So, when it comes to voice acting, this upcoming title seems to be 100% legit – let’s hope that all other aspects of the game will be this well-made.
Disney Illusion Island is releasing on July 28 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
