Robbie Bach, head of entertainment at Microsoft has claimed that a comment from Bill Gates about Halo 3 being launched at the same time as the PS3 was being used as an example rather than being a specific announcement.
Bach, speaking to IDG News Service, insisted that “Halo is something we’ll ship when it’s ready”.
It was last May when Bill Gates said to Time magazine that he was planning to make Sony shake in their boots with a second wave of games. “It’s perfect,” he smugly stated. “The day Sony launches, and they walk right into Halo 3.”
Bach said “Philosophically the point Bill was trying to make is that we’re not just going to ship and not have great stuff coming up.”
