How to Unlock the MX Guardian in MW2 and Warzone 2

Move aside Broadside.

The Season 4 Reloaded, both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 received a fresh weapon in the form of the MX Guardian shotgun. In an earlier season, the KV Broadside proved just how powerful shotguns could be, and now I’m here to help you unlock the next one in the mid-season Call of Duty update.

MW2 & Warzone 2 – How to Get the MX Guardian

The MX Guardian is unlocked by getting 30 point-blank Operator kills with shotguns and clearing all challenges in sector D0 on the Battle Pass. For the first time in a mid-season update, the new weapon is tied to a sector in the Battle Pass, which means five challenges need to be completed before earning the shotgun.

In the past, the mid-season weapons could be unlocked by simply completing one challenge and moving on. Up until the Season 4 Reloaded update on July 12, one sector was hidden and only displayed a countdown. Now Sector D0 has been revealed, and you can find all the challenges below.

All MX Guardian Challenges Listed:

  • Get 10 ADS Operator kills with shotguns – Dependable Emblem
  • Get 10 hipfire Operator kills with shotguns – Gunfire Calling Card
  • Get 10 headshot Operator kills with shotguns – Fanning Hutch
  • Get 10 one shot Operator kills with shotguns – 1 Hour Double Weapon XP Token
  • Earn all Sector D0 Rewards and get 30 point blank Operator kills with shotguns – MX Guardian Shotgun

As you go through all the challenges, remember that Operator kills simply means eliminating enemy players. I like to jump into Multiplayer or Shipment 24/7 to get these done as fast as possible, but Warzone 2 modes are also viable. And once you have the kills you need, remember to claim the sector rewards on the Battle Pass as well.

If the Santa Sena Border Crossing map pops up while you grind these out, you might want to stay for once, because they fixed the map in Season 4 Reloaded.
