Ghost Just Got Nerfed in Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded

A Bird's Eye perspective.

Everyone knows that Ghost is one of the most used perks for survival in Warzone 2, and because of how strong the perk was, it took a hit in the Season 4 Reloaded update. Gone are the days of hiding from a UAV at all times with the Ghost Perk equipped.

Birdseye Will Now Counter Ghost Perk in Warzone 2

In the Season 4 Reloaded update, the Birdseye Perk was given a boost to counter players who rely on Ghost. Anyone who activates a UAV killstreak in Warzone 2, and also has the Birdseye Perk equipped, will be able to see all players in the vicinity. This will force all players to be more vigilant and rely less on camping in some cases.

Raven Software clearly saw the reliance that many players have on the Ghost Perk, which typically makes a meta stale. In the Season 4 Reloaded patch notes, the reason they gave for the change was, “We want to provide a hard counter to Ghost to offer more variety in the rock-paper-scissors encounters of Battle Royale and open up more play styles.”

Along with the change to Ghost, the plate carriers from the DMZ mode were brought to Warzone 2. One of those plate carriers is the 3-Plate Stealth Vest. I have used this plate carrier extensively in the DMZ because it provides a Ghost Perk. However, it appears that the Stealth Vest will still counter UAVs in Warzone 2.

That means there is still a way to counter the players running Birdseye Perks in the Season 4 Reloaded update. But there will be much more chance involved, which of course, is the nature of Battle Royales.

The Boys crossover also begins in the new update, so make sure to check out all the skins that are on the way.
