Final Fantasy 16: Carrot Hunt Location and Rewards (FF16)

I guess tentacles kind of look like carrots?

If there’s one thing I love, it’s when my potions actually heal me. And as you get farther and farther into Final Fantasy 16, you’ll quickly find that these drinks struggle to keep up with Clive’s ever-growing health bar. Fortunately, there’s one quest and one Morbol that can help make up the difference. Here’s how to find Carrot in Final Fantasy 16 and all the rewards you’ll get for killing it.

Where to Find Carrot Notorious Mark in Final Fantasy 16 (FFXVI)

Carrot, the oddly named Morbol, is part of the Please Sir Can I Have Some Morbol questline. And our dear botanist believes that this particular Morbol’s tendril is essential to create more powerful potions. This Rank-B Notorious Mark is haunting the swamps of Rosaria. Here’s how to find Carrot in Final Fantasy 16:

  • Select Eastern Rosaria on the world map (Three Reeds).
  • Go to The Whispering Waters.

From the world map, select Eastern Rosaria, just north of the Hideaway. Select the Three Reeds Obelisk from the local map.

Once you’re in Three Reeds, hug the north wall of the map. Eventually, a path will branch out going north. Follow it to its conclusion and you’ll find a big swampy opening.

Carrot location

Approach the center, and Carrot the Morbol will pop out. It will immediately attack with Bad Breath, so dodging to the side is recommended.

Carrot fights very similarly to other Morbols you’ve encountered in the past, but it is much more inclined to use its tendrils than its breath.

Rewards for Defeating Carrot in Final Fantasy 16

Upon defeat, Carrot will drop the following rewards:

  • Morbol Tendril (quest item)
  • Morbol Flower (unique crafting item)
  • 2000 Experience
  • 70 Ability points
  • 10,000 Gold
  • 20 Renown

Bring back the Tendril to our favorite botanist, and he’ll use it to increase the potency of your potions.

While you’re in the area, now’s a great time to start stocking up on rare materials that you’ll need for one of Final Fantasy’s strongest weapons. I’m talking, of course, about Orichalcum. Check out how to get this ultra-rare material here: Final Fantasy 16: How to Get Orichalcum (FFXVI),
