The highly-anticipated sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is finally just around the corner, and many of us fans are naturally ecstatic. How Much Storage Space Will Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Take Up?
The size of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will depend heavily on your platform, with four different file sizes for the (technically) four different platforms the game will be on. PC takes the largest hit to file size, sitting at around 155GB according to Steam. For the average storage device, that’s about a tenth of your total storage space for one game alone. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X only fare slightly better, sitting at 147 and 140GB respectively. The only device that gets some room to breathe is Xbox Series S, with a much more reasonable 44GB.

Your immediate question is likely why the Series S gets a roughly 100GB file size reduction if it’s the same game. The reason for this is due to high-resolution textures since those can take up a colossal amount of file space. Games on the Series S run at 1080p (as do most games that people play), so there’s far less to render than the colossal 4K resolution you’ll see available on PC, the Series X, and PlayStation 5. That’s several times the resolution, hence the textures being much bigger as far as storage goes.

You might have to do a fair bit of cleaning to your device to play it, but Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is already looking great.
