Once you speak to Nala about finding Simba, you both decide on splitting up to cover more ground. It is at this point where you will be tasked with lowering a log near a waterfall, allowing you to progress further.

To locate the log, you’ll need to go past the realm’s entrance area and into the mushroom cave. From there you can head to the river/waterfall area where the log will be.

In this area you will see a bridge and a rocky pillar. Simply hit the rocky pillar with your pickaxe to lower the log near the waterfall!

If you aren’t activating the cut-scene, double check to make sure you are hitting the correct stones with your pickaxe.

Now that you know how to lower the log near the waterfall in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it’s time to get out there and find Simba!
