The Jewel Thief request asks you to find a thieving crow’s nest after its crow stole the Merchant’s scratched emerald. This crow is located somewhere in the Courtyard, and selling its emerald will award you with three spinels. The issue is that when exploring the Courtyard, the crow and its nest are nowhere to be found. The only crow is one that flies away as you enter the Courtyard, and that one did not have a nest.

That is because it is not a Courtyard at all. If you head where you first entered the Courtyard earlier in the game, towards the Wine Cellar. Near the Merchant there will be a platform for the second floor, where you can find the bird in its nest. If you need help, we have included an image above of the location on the map, with the bird’s nest being up on a small roof. Once you shoot the nest, it will drop below revealing the scratched emerald. Sell that to the Merchant, and the Spinels are yours.
